Land in Tension: The interplay of human intentions and natural processes.

The Iron Creek Land Community in partnership with Wandering Washtenaw and the Grand-Raisin Conservation Community will host a trail walk on private land in the Irish Hills on Saturday, March 6 at 10:00 AM.  Located about 50 Minutes south west of Ann Arbor, we will meet at 11007 Mull Road, Tipton (Manchester Township).

This trek will showcase a sampling of the area’s variable landforms and waterways in route to view a small maple syrup operation, thinning/harvesting in a white pine plantation and an oak savanna reconstruction project.

Come prepared for the weather, be it sunny or overcast, frozen or soggy.  We expect to be out for about two hours.  Car pooling is encouraged.  For questions contact Bob Kellum at 734-972-6564.  To RSVP please go to:  http://www.stewardshipnetwork.org/communities/grcc/
